Object Lesson:
Nathanael was full of prejudice and doubt. He didn't let that stop him from going to see Jesus. When he got there, before he could even utter a word Jesus said the exact words Nathanael needed to hear to convince him that Jesus was in fact the promised Messiah! Jesus knows us. He knows what we know better than we do. He knows our requests before we can even ask them! When you're hurting, when you're doubtful, when you're anxious or scared... GO TO JESUS! You can bring your pain, your fear, your anxiety... just bring your HEART too.
Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your cares on him, because he cares about you. Be sober-minded, be alert. Your adversary the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour. Resist him, firm in the faith, knowing that the same kind of sufferings are being experienced by your fellow believers throughout the world.
The God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, establish, strengthen, and support you after you have suffered a little while. - 1 Peter 5:6-10
Object Lesson: Write or draw something in cyan, then scribble over it in magenta. View the message under red light or with a red piece of plastic that will filter out the red so that anything magenta becomes invisible. - There is a lot of noise in this life (red) that can try to keep us from "seeing" Jesus for who He really is. When this happens, GO TO JESUS by reading the Bible and the Holy Spirit (Red light or filter) will help you to see and hear what Jesus wants to say to YOU!
