My Title: Examine Yourself

My Verse: 14

14 "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all."

My Response:

How often to you EXAMINE and TEST yourself? Admittedly, I am usually approaching the throne as if I have right to be there. Apart from the GRACE of God through Jesus Christ, I wouldn't have the privilege or the honor! - Yet, He is the GOD of peace and love. He sent Jesus to BE the peacemaker, to pay the penalty for my sin, SO THAT I CAN COME BOLDLY to His throne to speak with Him. May I never forget what it is I am actually doing!

God forgive me for the sins that I so willingly walk into. Thank you for your grace and your mercy. Fill me with the fellowship with your Holy Spirit. I want to live every day for the rest of my life in the power of your Holy Spirit.

How Will This Make You a Better Husband/Father/Man:

Knowing WHOSE you are will change WHO you are. Your children need to be corrected, taught, instructed by you from a perspective, that you understand not only who YOU are but also with a clear perspective/understanding who THEY ARE. - Apart from Christ they are only wretched sinners. Through Christ they are saved by grace and they are righteous saints. - TEACH them just as Paul had to teach the Corinthians, REMEMBER the GOSPEL and KEEP IT PURE! Examine yourself constantly and ABIDE in Him. Avoid foolish sin, it is only and always a total lie.

Grow to be confident in WHO you are in Christ and teach others to do and be the same. He is coming very soon. Will He find faith when He returns for His church, His bride? - Live a life FULL of the POWER of the HOLY SPIRIT and you will be ready for His return.

My Notes:

  • Not confronting sin is not grace.

  • Christ was crucified in weakness but LIVES by the POWER of God.

  • We WILL live WITH HIM by the POWER of God.

  • Examine yourself. Test yourself. OR DO YOU NOT REALIZE THIS ABOUT YOURSELVES, THAT JESUS CHRIST IS IN YOU?

  • Do YOU pray for your brothers? That they may not sin?

  • Your restoration is what we pray for.

  • Paul was confident that the Lord had given him AUTHORITY to build up the Corinthian church and not tear it down.

  • Rejoice. Aim for restoration. Comfort one another. Agree with one another. Live in peace... and the GOD of LOVE and PEACE will be WITH you.

  • The GRACE of God and the FELLOWSHIP of the HOLY SPIRIT be WITH you all.
