My Verse: 30

30 " If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness."

My Response:

The COST of discipleship is HIGH, BUT that's the price for ADVENTURE. You've only got this one life to live. If you don't spend it wisely, you'll spend eternity wishing you had. The rockstars of forever will those that spent everything in this life to gain the next for GOD's GLORY. He created everything for His purpose. JOIN HIM IN RUNNING THE PURPOSE HE CREATED YOU FOR!

No adventure is devoid of fear. The greatest adventures are the ones that tell of insurmountable odds and impossible outcomes. Embrace your impossible because WITHOUT GOD IT WOULD BE! Your weakness is what shows HIM to be the strong protector, provider, shepherd, friend, Father. He is the REASON we exist. You don't have to wait for the forever to experience Him!

How Will This Make You a Better Husband/Father/Man:

Your kids are going to be grown before you know it. You ARE your children's greatest source for truth and wisdom. TEACH them that God is not just their refuge and strength... He is their GUIDE to a LIFE WORTH LIVING! Teach them (by example) to unlock the HOLY SPIRIT and HIS WORD in their life!

Father, speak, your servant is listening. - Teach me to KNOW your will. Guide me and instruct me in the way that I should go. Give me courage and strength for the journey. Stand against anxiety and fear and make me bold in the face of lies and temptation. Bless my children with eyes and ears to see those that need to be loved b you and then give them the strength and courage to love them for you. Make me the example they need to see this lifestyle of a heart that is focused only on you and your kingdom.

My Notes:

  • Take every thought captive. - We like to apply this one to temptation, but it means maturity in faith too. DON'T LET YOUR THOUGHTS BE LED ASTRAY from a SINCERE and PURE DEVOTION to Christ.

  • As the TRUTH of Christ is in me, this boasting of mine will not be silenced in the regions of Achaia (Peoria... Arizona... United States)

  • There are those that will preach a false gospel and even claim to serve Christ. - Vs. 13-15 "For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also disguise themselves as servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness."

  • This life is the ONLY life we have to experience a life worth living.

  • What will your story say about your life WHEN you stand before Christ?

  • Here's what Paul's said about him...

  • (vs. 23-29) "Are they servants of Christ? I am a better one-I am talking like a madman-with far greater labors, (he's talking about false apostles that claimed/boasted their authority on WHO they were) far more imprisonments, with countless beatings, and often near death. Five times I received at the hands of the Jews the forty lashes less one. Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I was adrift at sea; on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers, danger from my own people, danger from Gentiles, danger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers; in toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure. And, apart from other things, there is the daily pressure on me of my anxiety for all the churches. Who is weak and I am not weak? Who is made to fall, and I am not indignant?"

  • If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness.
