My Title: Power and Privilege

My Verse: 19-20

"19 But I will come to you soon, if the Lord wills, and I will find out not the talk of these arrogant people but their power. 20 For the kingdom of God does not consist in talk but in power."

My Response:

What are you willing to GIVE in this life to gain the next? - "I think God has EXHIBITED us apostles as least of all, like men sentenced to death. A spectacle to the world, to angels, and to men. We are FOOLS for Christ's sake. We are weak. We are in disrepute. We hunger and thirst. Poorly dressed, buffeted and homeless. We labor working with our own hands. When reviled we bless. When persecuted we endure. When slandered, we entreat. We have become, and are still, like the scum of the world, the refuse of all things." <-- Daniel. Read that again. Are you ready to PAY. TO TOIL AND STRIVE for God's will. To tell HIS story?

Think of that day. Store up for the fire that will test your heart and your motives. The SPIRIT KNOWS the depths of God. Your BEST efforts are but filthy rags. ALLOW God to create fruit that will last by allowing Him to MOVE THROUGH YOU.

HERE'S THE THING: The Lord's power that flows through you to create fruit is TESTIMONY to YOUR RELATIONSHIP with the LIVING GOD! - You will KNOW THEM BY THEIR FRUIT. The kingdom of God does not consist of talk but in POWER.

SO, NOW APPLY IT: Spend time in prayer today not just seeking God's will BUT COUNT THE COST and then DECIDE to press into the places that require the greatest payment of faith. WATCH HIM CREATE FRUIT IN AND THROUGH YOU. NOT THAT YOU MAY BOAST BUT SO THAT YOU CAN POINT OTHERS TO THE LIVING GOD. Do not fear the payment of this life. It is temporary. Be bold. Be courageous. Be loving. You are a servant to a loving God who was willing to pay everything. So should you be.

My Notes:

• We are SERVANTS of Christ and STEWARDS of the mysteries of God.

• It is REQUIRED of stewards that they be FOUND FAITHFUL. <- Oh snap. How would YOU be found?

• We are not judged by ourselves or even a human court. We are judged by THE LORD.

• Never forget that, on the day of the Lord, He WILL bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purpose of the heart. THEN each one will receive his commendation from God. What will that day look like for you?

• APPLY this to your life and those around you. NO ONE should touch the glory of the Lord. Don't get puffed up in favor against one another.
